Embedded Software Engineering Intern

We are seeking a motivated embedded software engineering intern or working student to join our team
in Luxembourg. In this role, you will actively contribute to building a full avionics stack product.

Your tasks

During the internship you will:

  • Assist in the development of embedded software features for the avionics stack, including for
On-Board Computer (OBC), Payload Data Handling System (PDHS) and Radio units.
  • Support in designing, coding, testing, and debugging software modules.
  • Contribute to the development of support tools (GSE testing tools, Code generation etc.)
  • Assist the software team in various other types of engineering tasks.

Essential characteristics

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ for embedded systems development and
various scripting languages.
  • Basic understanding of real-time operating systems and low-level hardware interfaces.
  • Experience in utilizing communication protocols such as CAN, I2C, SPI, and UART.
  • Skilled in working with a variety of Microcontrollers and System on Chips.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English).

Strongly valued characteristics

  • Experience with aerospace software development standards and safety-critical software
development practices.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment (logic analyser, power supply etc.).
  • Familiar with embedded Linux, FPGA development.
  • Passionate about embedded application development and eager to research new concepts.

Duty station and contract type

This is a 6-month internship or working student position located full time in Belval, Luxembourg with
occasional travels possibilities.
