We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our finance team starting in April for a six-month internship. The successful candidate will work closely with our Senior Accountant to support the financial operations of the firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an individual with some accounting experience to develop their skills in a dynamic and international environment.
Role and Responsibilities
Assist the Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting & Control in preparing financial statements and reports.
Perform general ledger accounting and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable.
Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
Maintain and update accounting records and files.
Provide support during audits and tax filings.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Collaborate with the Senior Accountant on various financial projects and tasks.
Key Requirements
You are currently in your second year of a Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting (IAE or Business School).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and under tight deadlines.
Knowledge of the tax environment (both European and Luxembourgish) is a plus.
Experience in an audit or accountancy firm is an asset.
Perfectly bilingual in French with a good command of English, both written and spoken.
Self-motivated, a quick learner, and ready to go the extra mile.
