Job Description
As part of the European Institutions Business Development Team, you will support the business development team in capturing opportunities from variety of sources. You will be part of the development and implementation of business development best practices and the support of technical teams in the development and submission of technical and financial bids to our clients. You will be joining a newly formed team to support the ambitions of the growing Wavestone Luxembourg office. You will help us to lead large proposals, to consolidate our strengths, to build on our experience, and to expand our core areas of expertise. You will need to develop a good understanding of the European Institutions portfolio.
A career in business development will offer you the opportunity to work in a dynamic atmosphere with the support of bright and experienced experts in the fields of policy studies, evaluations, impact assessments, cost-benefit analysis, technical feasibility, research studies, risk management, anti money laundering, compliance, business operations modelling, business process automation, KYC, and cybersecurity, in different sectors, as well as cooperation and collaboration with other practices of Wavestone. The business administrator is required to support our teams on the following activities:
- Screen daily opportunities coming from the different accounts.
- Log opportunities using Salesforce.
- Organise project references and detailed profiles of all team members.
- Develop references and skills databases following the requirements of every bid.
- Support the lead generation, prospecting, and qualifying of leads.
- Support in all phases the preparation of business proposals, from the screening to the actual submission.
- Support calls with prospective clients via phone and email (including actual meetings).
- Support the review of contracts and keep good relationship with the Legal and Financial Control teams.
- Support the writing of technical proposals.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in business development, sales, and technology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Proactive mindset, results-oriented, and ability to work with various stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- English fluency is required
Additional Information
- Terms & Length: The internship must be under university agreement and should last at least 6 months so that you have time to project yourself within the office and to see you flourish. The exact length of the internship is open to discussion
- Management: Your internship will be steered by a supervisor with whom you will have the opportunity to share your questions and expectations through frequent step points
