- Several years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Several years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
The role will involve understanding the physical and virtual transportation processes, from our fulfillment centers on to our final mile carriers who deliver our packages to our customers. As part of the Transportation Configuration Team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering software solutions to drive product developments within our transportation network.
As an SDE, you will be working on the design and development of complex engineering problems
Key job responsibilities
As an SDE you will be expected to own and deliver end to end key initiatives, maintaining effective communication with management and stakeholders. You will mentor junior engineers, helping them to maintain appropriate unit test coverage, code documentation, software structure and support. You will identify, evaluate and suggest mitigation strategies for risks during design. You will deliver high quality code on time as part of a cross-functional team and contribute to team discussions around system component design, improvement and integration.
About the team
SCALE is a team within Transportation Network Configuration, delivering innovative solutions to ensure long-term scalability of the EU network configuration. The team is composed of SDEs, Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Engineers and Product Managers who work together and cross-team to build solutions to automate, simplify and audit configuration of transportation and sortation data.
- Several years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
