Job Description
Husky is seeking a results-driven Mechanical Engineering Intern with a focus on Injection Molding Equipment Design for a six-month internship opportunity. The ideal candidate is a master’s degree student or equivalent, with a sound understanding of MS Office and CAD (preferably Siemens NX). The selected intern will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, industry-leading company, have the opportunity to work on real projects and make valuable contributions and collaborate with experienced professionals in their field of study.
Responsibilities:
- Design and development of injection molding equipment for food packaging under the supervision of experienced engineers.
- Utilize CAD software (preferably Siemens NX) to create and modify injection mold designs.
- Work with the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) team to evaluate design models.
- Collaborate with the team to create validation plans and follow-up on validation activities
- Perform data analysis in order to troubleshoot and optimize existing equipment
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates and insights on ongoing projects.
- Adhere to company protocols and safety standards in all activities.
- Conduct research on industry trends and advancements in injection molding technology.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficient in MS Office and CAD software, preferably Siemens NX.
- Good knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages will be considered an asset.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to commit to the full six-month duration of the internship.
