Husky is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern with a focus on Injection Molding Equipment Design for a six-month internship opportunity in our Hot Runner Engineering department. The ideal candidate is a master’s degree student or equivalent, with a sound understanding of MS Office and CAD (preferably Siemens NX). The selected intern, after a product training, will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, industry-leading company, have the opportunity to work on real projects and make valuable contributions and collaborate with experienced professionals in their field of study.
Responsibilities:
- Get trained in hot runner system engineering.
- Build and maintain technical documentation (training, product guide, engineering guideline…).
- Utilize CAD software (preferably Siemens NX) to create and modify parts for hot runner systems.
- Work with the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) team to evaluate design models.
- Design a Hot Runner under the supervision of experienced engineers based on customer specification and Husky Standards.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates and insights on ongoing projects.
- Adhere to company protocols and safety standards in all activities.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficient in MS Office and CAD software, preferably Siemens NX.
- Good knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages will be considered an asset.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to commit to the full six-month duration of the internship in 2026.
