A new opportunity has arisen for a internship within the Portfolio Management team in our Luxembourg office. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain and strengthen experience in portfolio management and be exposed to numerous investment mandates and projects from Liquid/UCITS strategies to Real Estate, Private Equity and Infrastructure asset classes. The successful candidate will join the Portfolio Management team to assist with the assessment and execution of the transactions along with the monitoring of existing portfolio assets.. This role may also require helping with the coordination and supervision of independent investment advisors.


The successful candidate will support the team in dealing with multiple liquid and illiquid funds, and will actively participate to the development of Portfolio Management process and technical changes to applications used by FundSight S.A., in partnership with IT, Compliance, Risk and Valuation teams.


1. Key Responsibilities


  • Help managing UCITS funds, liquid AIFs, and discretionary portfolios in line with defined investment strategies, risk profiles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the team in identifying investment opportunities using fundamental, quantitative, and macroeconomic approaches, and implement asset allocation across equities, fixed income, money market instruments, ETFs, and other liquid assets
  • Monitor portfolio performance, liquidity, and risk exposures using appropriate tools and analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID II, SFDR, and CSSF requirements, maintaining strong internal controls, reporting, documentation, and governance standards across all managed portfolios.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (risk, compliance, legal, valuation, reporting) to ensure seamless portfolio execution and governance.
  • Help monitoring Cash-flow positions for funds under management, i.e. capital calls, distributions, capital account statements, etc.
  • Contribute to the organization, prepare and actively contribute to the Investment Committees and investment reports for the funds under management (Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Debt)


2. Profile


  • Bachelor and above in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field – and ideally a path towards acquiring CFA/FRM.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting, corporate finance and business reporting
  • Sound business judgment and an analytical, pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Highly disciplined, self-starter, ability to execute on assignments independently
  • Quantitative skills and familiarity with programming languages (Python, R, VBA) are a plus.
  • Interpersonal skills to enable relationship building with colleagues, clients and advisors.

  • Languages & Communication: English is mandatory (French or German would be considered as an asset).
