Introduction

Within ArcelorMittal Europe - Flat Products CIO, the department “Digital & IT CMO” (D&IT CMO) is an IT organization with proximity with Flat commercial business, which is responsible for the implementation of Business Processes and the interface management between operational Business stakeholders and IT providers.

D&IT CMO main stakeholders are the Business owners of the different CMO processes, the end users (Sales Agencies & Order Management Platforms), Supply Chain, Industrial Clusters, and mills within the Flat Europe scope.

The main Missions of our Department are:

  • Steer / Support Legacy Information Systems (Performance, user support, Budget).
  • Drive the Evolution of Legacy Information Systems (Adapt to New business needs, deploy, optimize): Concentrate Business processes & systems Expertise.
  • Support Innovation & transformation.

What does the job entail?

We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join the Data Science CMO team that is part of the D&IT CMO organization. The Data Science CMO team plays a critical role in developing and maintaining the Dynamic Pricing Model for the Prime business while providing data-driven decision support to the Nonprime business through Data Mining. This diverse team of data scientists and analysts collaborates closely with business stakeholders to drive impactful solutions.

With the increasing demand for data science expertise, the team is looking for an intern to contribute to the enhancement of the context-aware Dynamic Pricing Model.

Internship Objectives

The primary goal of this internship is to analyze and implement incremental improvements to the existing Dynamic Pricing Model, making it more context aware. The intern will begin with a feasibility study of high-priority business ideas, followed by implementation and validation. Additionally, the role includes developing Tableau dashboards to effectively communicate findings and insights to business stakeholders.

Throughout the assignment, the intern will work under the guidance of a data scientist and collaborate with IT teams as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data to gain insights into business challenges
  • Develop and prototype data science models to address business problems
  • Build interactive Tableau dashboards for validation and monitoring

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in English
  • Background in statistics, reasoning, and analytical thinking
  • Python Programming
  • Familiarity with machine learning platforms, frameworks, and libraries

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of database systems (e.g., MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle)
  • First experience in developing tableau dashboards
  • Understanding and first experience with Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Creative problem-solving skills in proposing business solutions
