Luxembourg Intern: Risk Management, Compliance and Legal

This internship experience provides with a meaningful, relevant work experience as part of your academic studies. In addition to daily responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to participate in a series of structured activities designed to enhance learning experience including:
  • Intern New Hire Orientation
  • Various committees or working groups, such as Risk Committee, Distribution Oversight Working Group, etc.
  • Social & Networking Office Events
  • Team activities and projects, related to the Management Company Corporate Governance and regulatory developments projects
 
At the conclusion of this position, you will have increased your knowledge of the mutual fund industry, corporate governance, employee engagement, and the activities and responsibilities of an asset manager.
The beginning of the internship can be flexible based on the availability of the successful candidate with the earliest possible start on March 3, 2025. The length of the internship is three months. Students work full-time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. All applicants must have prior authorization to work in Luxembourg.
 
Principal Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing reports and documentation for project, reviews or activities related to the Teams.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address Risk Management, Compliance and Legal related inquiries.
  • Help maintain and organize Risk Management, Compliance and Legal records and documentation.
  • Interacts with other staff of MFS Lux or other MFS entities and collect required documentation or information.
  • Help in developing and updating policies and procedures to reflect changes in regulations and best practices.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in compliance to contribute fresh perspectives to the team
  • Performs other duties as required. These may include assembling documents, helping to prepare committee, and others.
 
Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and passion for finance and fund industry.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational and project skills.
  • Expertise in spreadsheet, database and word processing applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work independently, as well as highly motivated, and must have the ability to meet deadlines.
