Communications - Intern
ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is a 5 months internship, based in Betzdorf (Luxembourg). You will be a part of the Communications team and help build the reputation of SES worldwide, while communicating the stories that we as a company do and the impact we jointly create through our customers. In this role you will be able to apply your communications skills in a dynamic and rapidly expanding space and satellite sector, and further your career.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsiblities include, but are not limited to:
- Support writing and production of communications packages including blogs, presentations, reports, online newsrooms, and intranet posts for some key topics such as O3b mPOWER, IRIS2, ESG, Regulatory
- Assist with preparation and execution of special events, such as VIP and VVIP visits and All-Hands meetings and other internal and external-facing events driven by Communications– contributing to both content preparation, coordination and org matters
- Help maintain giveaway stock and records
- Support media relations activities such as compiling and updating media contact lists, subscriptions and preparing press coverage and news analysis on key news and topics; support news monitoring
- Support social media activities which includes sourcing content across internal departments and contributing with creative execution ideas
- Contribute to the vertical-specific activities of the Communications team, as defined
- Organise, maintain and update Communications’ calendars, mailboxes, documentation and digital files across platforms, and contribute to content dissemination to internal stakeholders, such as Sales and People & Culture, as well as key reporting for internal events, news stories and announcements
- Ad hoc organisational tasks
YOUR PROFILE
1. You must
- Being a current and advanced Bachelor / Master’s student in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or in a relevant technical area;
- Excellent general communication skills at all levels (verbal, written, and listening)
- Fluency in English with strong writing skills; other language skills considered an asset
- Enjoy creating engaging content
- Self-starter, proactive working attitude, ability to work independently as well as in team
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects in coordination with internal and external stakeholders
- Computer literate (MS suite, web tools, photo/video editing)
- EU-nationality or work permit for Luxembourg or The Netherlands
