ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Vendor Management & Procurement (VMP) team in a fast-paced, growing organization within a dynamic industry.
Based in Betzdorf, Luxembourg, you will contribute to a variety of tasks mainly focused on ESG and VMP Operations topics related to suppliers and sustainable procurement, analyzing data from various sources, and working with the VMP team to meet the requirements of internal stakeholders and the readiness of systems and data to meet requirements for ESG-related data acquisition, controls and reporting.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Some of the specific tasks may include, but are not limited to:
  • Support ad hoc ESG-related requests from SES internal stakeholders
  • Assist the ESG team with reporting requirements related to sustainable procurement due diligence
  • Support activities related to supplier engagement initiatives
  • Contribute to establish sustainable procurement procedure
  • Conduct market research to identify technologies to promote effective vendor-scoring
  • Contribute to the creation of training material to raise ESG awareness
  • Liaise with SES ESG team on supplier related topics, as needed
  • Collaborates with VMP Operations team members in responding to the requests raised in Vendor Management and Procurement (VMP) inbox or Service Now portal by internal or external stakeholders such as vendor creation and maintenance, Procure-to-Pay process related within SAP
  • Helping to enhance vendor master data quality, in particular when it comes to ESG related topics

YOUR PROFILE
1.You must have
  • Current student in Procurement, Sustainable Procurement, Supply Chain, International Development or in a relevant area;
  • Ability to work in virtual organization
  • Strong computer literacy (MS PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBi);
  • Fluency in spoken and written English;
  • Able to work in Luxembourg (EU-citizenship or valid work permit for Luxembourg).
2. It would be nice if you had
  • Knowledge of sustainable procurement principles. This includes understanding of environmental, social, and governance issues, sustainability frameworks (European mostly, globally appreciated), environmental regulations, ethical labour practices, and social responsibility standards
  • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion
  • Capability to conduct market research
  • Working knowledge of procurement or supply chain data analytics
  • Understanding of risk management
  • Interest in the global technology, media, and telecom business and satellite communications in particular
  • Additional languages considered an asset
