The Job

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Private Banking team in the Luxembourg Branch.

Handelsbanken Luxembourg Branch started its activities in 1978 and is part of Handelsbanken Global Banking. We support the Bankโ€™s customers in the focus markets with their international business. The Branch core business is Private banking (discretionary and execution-only services) and mortgage lending in Spain, Portugal and France.

We are looking for a Middle Office Assistant who is passionate about providing first class service to the account managers, clients and middle office teams. The position reports directly to the Head of Private Banking of the Luxembourg Branch.

The main responsibilities will be the following:

  • Responsible for the overall client experience
  • Support the Private Banking team by overseeing client portfolios and interacting directly with customers
  • Credit limits
  • Collaborate with the mortgage team
  • Support the account managers and the rest of the private banking team with administrative tasks to ensure a seamless client experience
  • Represent the Luxembourg Branch concerning the Private Banking offering within the focus market branch network and externally to the Bank, including our core markets.

Skills & Requirements

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of successfully dealing with clients and must be fluent in English and Swedish. The role requires regular contact and interaction with the branches of Handelsbanken in other countries, as well as the ability to interact with clients.

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role and a keen interest in learning about all aspects of the Private Banking offering in Luxembourg
  • Swedsec or equivalent certificate
  • Knowledge of the market and a willingness to learn about the Swedish and Norwegian products available to our customers
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in handling yearly credit limits
  • Desire to support and help the team around them
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish
  • Organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a team in a multi-cultural environment
  • Takes responsibility for own development and on the job learning
  • Independency in contacting clients for any administrative matter
