Job overview:
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Junior Associate to reinforce our Corporate team.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to complex transactions and develop your legal expertise in a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment.
Our first class Corporate team specialises in advising our clients on all aspects of complex transactions across:
- All Luxembourg aspects of private equity transactions including M&A, management buy-outs and leveraged buy-outs;
- Management incentive plans;
- All aspects of Luxembourg M&A transactions;
- National and cross-border mergers and spin-offs;
- Cross-border reorganisation and refinancing of multinationals; and
- Migrations, liquidations and incorporation of companies in the context of reorganisation of global group structures.
You would typically act on all elements of a corporate deal from term sheet stage, through to closing and post-closing.
You would also be expected to manage projects that have been assigned to you, including due diligence on Luxembourg companies, and liaise closely with colleagues, clients, counterparties and other advisers.
Essential skills and experience:
Experience
- 0-2 years transactional corporate with a global law firm or a large local law firm;
- You successfully passed an academic degree in law, ideally completed by an LL.M degree. An additional, a specialized Master's degree or a business management degree (HEC, ESCP, IEP, ESSEC, etc.) would be an asset;
- Qualified junior level lawyer or preparing a Bar in any European jurisdiction.
- Interest in corporate M&A, due diligence, corporate structures and corporate governance.
Skills
- Fluency in English and French is a must. German would be an asset;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills;
- The ability to be team-focused and to also work independently;
- A proactive, positive and energetic approach with a commitment to providing excellent service
