As a Distribution System Operator (DSO), we manage and operate the electricity and gas networks, ensuring reliable energy delivery in a rapidly changing landscape—driven by digitalization, decentralization, and decarbonization.
To support this transformation, our IT Business Solutions department is actively contributing to a company-wide Data & AI Initiative, which is focused on exploring & unlocking the full potential of Artificial Intelligence across all business & IT domains.


Your tasks


As an AI Use Case Analyst Intern, you’ll support the consolidation, evaluation, and prioritization of AI use cases across the company. From predictive maintenance to load forecasting and grid optimization, your work will contribute directly to the future of smart energy operations.


  • Collaborate with teams across Grid Operations, Asset Management, Customer Services, and other departments
  • Identify and document AI-related use cases across the DSO value chain
  • Structure and analyze use cases by business value, technical feasibility, maturity, and strategic fit
  • Classify use cases by type (e.g., supervised learning, NLP, computer vision, optimization)
  • Create dashboards, documentation, and visual reports for the Data & AI team
  • Spot synergies and overlaps across departments to optimize AI investments

Your profile


  • You’re currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Energy Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and techniques
  • Interest in energy systems, smart grids, and digital innovation in the energy sector
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI, Python (pandas, scikit-learn), or SQL is a plus
  • You’re curious, analytical, and comfortable explaining technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • You work independently and communicate clearly across teams
