John Zink (JZ), part of Koch Engineered Solutions (KES), is looking for an EHS intern (3-6 months internship). The EHS intern will be integrated into our QEHS department and will be actively involved in developing our QEHS culture as well as in the day-to-day management of our management system. You will be in direct contact with various stakeholders across our organization, primarily our production workshop, our test center and the different support functions.
The internship is based at our JZ offices in Dudelange, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
What You Will Do
- Develop regulatory compliance reviews for lifting equipment used in our company and implement necessary corrective actions
- Participate in the assessment and update of the risk analysis
- Contribute to the development and deployment of rescue plans in coordination with the CGDIS (Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Service)
- Draft and update procedures, work instructions and action plans
- Participate in and facilitate the implementation of QEHS improvement projects
- Assist teams in carrying out internal audits
- Work closely with all stakeholders (QEHS team, Maintenance, office and workshop staff, etc.)
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in environmental sciences, occupational safety, QHSE or equivalent
- Proactive, positive attitude and continuous improvement mindset
- Good analytical and synthesis skills; rigorous and autonomous
- Team spirit and the ability to work with a variety of interlocutors
- Proficiency in French
What Will Put You Ahead
- Knowledge of or experience in an industrial environment
- Good knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards
- Strong command of English
