What you can expect

As a Risk & Control Analyst Intern, you will support the team in enhancing and implementing the Risk and Control Framework across daily operational activities, internal controls, and outsourcing risk management for Baloise Assurances Luxembourg S.A., Baloise Vie Luxembourg S.A., and Baloise Life Liechtenstein AG.
Under the supervision of the Chief Risk Officer, and with guidance from the Risk team, you will be entrusted with specific projects and processes to lead. You will also provide hands-on support in the team’s ongoing initiatives and daily operations.
Role and responsibilities:
Operational Risk Management:
- Participate in workshops for the ORSA (Own Risk and Solvency Assessment) Self-Assessment process.
- Assist in tracking and completing Management Actions.
- Contribute to the development of risk-related training and internal communications. Support the execution and follow-up of the Operational Incident Reporting process.
Quantitative and Financial Risk Management:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of annual QRTs (Quantitative Reporting Templates) to regulatory authorities.
- Support the annual review of SFCR (Solvency and Financial Condition Report), RSR (Regular Supervisory Report), and ORSA reports.
Outsourcing / ICT TPP Risk Officer:
- Contribute to the annual evaluation of outsourcing arrangements.
- Help maintain the Third-Party & Outsourcing Register.
Internal Control System:
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of the Internal Control System (ICS).
- Participate in workshops for the Annual Control Self-Assessment (CSA). Assist in implementing internal controls related to operational risks.
What we expect
- Master’s degree in Finance, Audit, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in Risk Management, Internal Control, and Outsourcing Risk Management.
- Familiarity with the insurance or banking sector is a strong asset.
- A collaborative team player with flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English and French; German is considered an advantage.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- The candidate must be legally authorized to work or undertake an internship in Luxembourg and, where applicable, hold all necessary authorizations, permits, or documents required by the applicable Luxembourg legislation.
