About the Role
We are seeking an AI Engineering Intern to support our Mistral AI practice by developing AI solutions, creating enablement content, and assisting our Forward Deployment Engineering (FDE) team. This internship offers hands-on experience working across the Mistral platform, including model development, agent creation, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and customer enablement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training materials, workshops, and demonstrations for:
- Mistral Vibe for Work
- Mistral Vibe for Code
- Mistral AI Studio
- Mistral Foundation Models
- Design, build, and evaluate Mistral AI agents for internal and customer use cases.
- Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using Mistral models and supporting technologies.
- Prototype AI applications and workflows leveraging the Mistral ecosystem.
- Assist Forward Deployment Engineers in implementing customer AI solutions and proof-of-concepts.
- Support technical enablement activities, including documentation, tutorials, sample applications, and best practices.
- Contribute to internal engineering initiatives, including development and maintenance of the teams Hotspot page and other knowledge-sharing resources.
- Collaborate with engineers, solution architects, and customer teams to identify and implement innovative AI solutions.
- Stay current with new Mistral AI capabilities and recommend opportunities for adoption.
- Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and modern software development practices.
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and AI application development.
- Understanding of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, and vector databases.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with an interest in teaching and technical enablement.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Mistral AI or other open-source LLMs.
- Familiarity with AI agent frameworks and orchestration tools.
- Experience with Git, REST APIs, Docker, and cloud platforms.
- Interest in developer advocacy, technical training, or customer-facing engineering.
- Hands-on experience with the full Mistral AI ecosystem.
- Opportunities to build production-ready AI agents and RAG applications.
- Experience delivering technical training and enablement for cutting-edge AI technologies.
- Exposure to customer deployments and real-world enterprise AI solutions alongside Forward Deployment Engineers.
